Dakota Creek Loop

This 11km intermediate ride has panoramic views of the Tetrahedron Range, Howe Sound and Dakota Creek, and takes about an hour to complete. To get to this trail, go north west on Highway 101, and turn right on the Roberts Creek Forest Service Road (RCFSR), 500m before Cliff Gilker Park. Follow the road, and park near the intersection at the bottom of a short, steep descent.

Carlson Lake Loop

This moderately difficult is 21km long and takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete. The viewpoints offer stunning vistas of Carlson Lake and the Sechelt Inlet. Most of the route is on old, overgrown logging roads, so the conditions aren't the best at times. Bikers should pay attention to the markers along the trail in order to follow the proper route. Located off of Trout Lake Road (Halfmoon Bay Forest Service Road), which is 13km north of Sechelt off of Highway 101.

Trout Lake Loop

There are numerous panoramic viewpoints along this intermediate 15km trail. Taking about 1.5 hours to complete, this ride starts at Trout Lake and goes on to cover a substantial portion of the surrounding area. Trout Lake is a residential water supply, so please take caution not to pollute it. The Trout Lake parking lot is just off Highway 101, 10km north west of Sechelt.

Redrooffs Loop

Located in the Sargent Bay Provincial Park, this easy 15km ride takes about an hour to complete and can be a great way to get acquainted with this gorgeous wildlife wonderland. The Sargent Bay Society built and maintains the trails, and some are not for biking on, so please respect their wishes and follow the signs. To get there, Follow Highway 101 northwest out of Sechelt for 6 km to the Redrooffs Road junction. Turn left and follow the signs to Sargeant Bay Provincial Park.

Lyon Lake Loop

Set amidst some of the oldest forests in Canada, the Lyon Lake Loop offers stunning views of the Georgia Strait. This well-marked 17km trail lasts approximately two and a half hours and with many steep and rocky sections is classified as an advanced ride. Located North of Sechelt on Highway 101, off of Trout Lake Road (Halfmoon Bay Forest Service Road).

Brodie Trails Loop

The former site of a popular bike race, this challenging 7.5km trail can be great fun for mountain biking enthusiasts. Riders can stick to the main trail, or they can explore the many sub-trails that make up this biking playground. To get there, follow Highway 101 north west and turn right at the Roberts Creek Forest Service Road (RCFSR), 500 m before Cliff Gilker Park. Drive to the power lines (1 km) and park.

This trail, accessed from Willingdon Beach Park, runs along the top of a beautiful ravine through some stunning old growth forest.

Mount Elphinstone Loop

This advanced ride can be steep at time - even experienced cyclists will have to walk their bikes at time. But once fantastic viewpoint is reached, it's all downhill (literally!). A large portion of the trail follows the Sunshine Coast Highway, making it easily accessible between Port Mellon and Roberts Creek. At 42km, this ride takes about three hours.

Angus Creek Loop

This trail boasts amazing views of Sechelt, the Sechelt Inlet, the Caren Range and Mount Richardson. The total distance of this moderately difficult ride is 22km and it takes about and hour and a half to complete. The reach the trail from Sechelt, head north to Sechelt Inlet Road, and head east on the Sechelt-Crucil Forest Service Road.

Clack Creek Loop

This 12km trail is great for downhill riding and since it only takes about 45 minutes to complete, many riders do it twice! To get to the trailhead, riders should turn right off Highway 101 onto Roberts Creek Road, which becomes Lockyer Road. After approximately 2km, cars can be parked at the junction of Lockyer and Grauman Road. The trail begins once riders are on the Clack Creek Forest Service Road.

Roberts Creek Mountain Bike Loop

The Roberts Creek bike loop is carefully marked with little white bike symbols on brown signs. The trail involves steep elevation gain (800m), and is rated moderate to difficult. Bikers who accept the challenge will be rewarded with fabulous views of the Tetrahedron Range and the Strait of Georgia. The trail is 30km and takes approximately 2 hours. THe trailhead is located 1km up from the Roberts Creek Forest Service Road (RCFSR).

Sprockids Mountain Bike Park

This extensive mountain-biking area provides 14km (9mi) of multi-level trails. The park was built with adolescent riders in mind, but is sure to please bikers of all ages and experience. Located at the north end of Stewart Road, just off of the Gibsons Bypass.

Homesite Creek Loop

This trail attracts many riders because of its thrilling downhill and power line riding. At 8km long, completing the trail takes about an hour, and can be done by intermediate to advanced riders. To get to the trail, turn right off Highway 101 onto Homesite Creek Forest Service Road (HCFSR), which is 17km north west of Sechelt and 0.5km north of Homesite Creek.

Halfmoon Creek Loop

Bikers will ride along logging roads, power lines and highways in the course of this 8.5km moderately easy trail. The trail takes about 40 minutes to complete, and riders will be rewarded with a nice wooded picnic area at Halfmoon Creek. To get there, take Highway 101 northwest out of Sechelt and take the small logging road that is 2.5km West of the Redrooffs Road junction (just before Homesite Creek).
