Mount Daniel Moon Rings
A sacred location among the local Aboriginal tribes, Mount Daniel is a place where girls spent several days meditating once they reached puberty. Today, visitors hike to this historic spot to see the Moon Rings that these girls carefully constructed over the years. The hike is moderately difficult and the view is stunning. As this property belongs to the Sechelt Indian Band, please respect their property and call them prior to visiting.

Mount Churchill sits at 1996 m (6549 ft) over the village of Egmont, and its steep slopes offers a challenging climb for expert mountaineers. To reach the top requires a rope, 5th class climbing credentials and a whole lot of stamina. |

Valentine Mountain
Dubbed by locals as Powell River's best - and closest - viewpoint, Valentine Mountain offers panoramic views of the region at its summit. The half-kilometer walk can be steep, but handrails are available at the worst parts. Picnic tables are available at the summit. Those venturing out to see the sunset should be sure to bring a flashlight. Accessed from Crown Avenue.
