Valentine Mountain Dubbed by locals as Powell River's best - and closest - viewpoint, Valentine Mountain offers panoramic views of the region at its summit. The half-kilometer walk can be steep, but handrails are available at the worst parts. Picnic tables are available at the summit. Those venturing out to see the sunset should be sure to bring a flashlight. Accessed from Crown Avenue. Address: . Powell River BC Canada

North Point and Roland Point Lookouts An easy trail in Egmont takes walkers to both the North Point and Roland Point lookouts, where the Skookumchuk rapids are best viewed. Depending on the motion of the ocean, viewing is at North Point during a falling tide and at Roland Point during a flood tide. Optimal times are posted along the trail. During low tide the bays' marine life glitters along the shorelines. |
