Historic Lund Located about 28 km from Powell River is the historic coastal village of Lund. Settled in the late 1800s as a frontier settlement, the community still has a few interesting historical buildings. The Historic Lund Hotel was built in 1894 and is as grand today as it was in its day, complete with a pub, restaurant, banquet room, shop and accommodations. There are numerous resorts in the area providing boat rentals. The starting point for the Sunshine Coast Trail (a 180-km trail) begins here at Sarah Point, thus Lund is popular with hikers. |
