Visitors must take a short hilly walk to get to the beach, but once they're there, they won't want to turn back. The area has a wonderful viewing platform with a memorial bench and the long beach is perfect for sunset strolls.

Prideaux Haven
The beach is rocky and crustecean-filled (visitors are advised to always look before they sit down), but people nonetheless continue to flock to this isolated area in the Desolation Sound Provincial Park. Accessible only by boat, this little bay has surprisingly warm (24ºC, 75ºF)water and plenty of hidden caverns. |

Roberts Creek Beach
This wild stretch of coast is a natural paradise, waiting to be explored. Surf shoes (or old running shoes) are a must if you're planning on swimming or scampering around on the rocky headlands searching for starfish, eels and other marine life. The headland observation area with hand-hewn benches and indigenous wildflowers is a neat addition. Craft stores and a funky little restaurant within easy walking distance make a visit here feel like a trip back into the "Love, Peace and Happiness" days.
